Looking for a job?

Things to do while looking for a job which most of the people don't know what to do. I will be sharing my experiences and the experiences I gain from others. Hope this may help the freshers who are looking for a job and they don't do the same mistake while searching for a new job.

Things to do:

  • Check if the company is registered or not on the ministry of corporate affairs site.http://www.mca.gov.in/mcafoportal/viewCompanyMasterData.do
  • Check reviews of the company and try to do some research about the company ask your friends or any of your colleagues who have earlier worked in that company.
  • If the company is registered then ask for the company if they are providing the joining letter, appointment letter, salary slips and the experience letter or relieving letter. Because registered company also don't provide the valid documents sometimes if the company is a startup or small scale. Which I personally faced after working for a registered company.
  • Never ever submit the original documents to any company it will cause you a problem while relieving.
  • Don't agree to sign any bond if you do then later don't regret.
  • Never take a salary in the form of cash.
  •  Ask for the salary slip for each month. This thing applies especially to small companies who will give the salary slips to their employees at the time of relieving and not every month. noticed in my case.
  • Collect the experience letter at the time of relieving and also don't forget to take a copy of your employee id card which you may require further.

Salary/Package:

  • Always check what is the current market salary for your designation / job role
  • Check for what is the package other companies are giving as industry standard for your role before accepting any offer
  • Use following websites to check the company reviews and packages.
  • Salary calculator | AmbitionBox
  • glassdoor reviews
